About the Vineyard. Barron-Wahl Vineyards are located at the 800 foot elevation on Parrett Mountain with valley views of the Willamette Valley and easterly toward beautiful Mt. Hood. The vineyard, located on Ladd Hill Road in Sherwood, was planted in 2001, with 100% Pinot Noir. Pommard clone make up most of the the plants but some 777 are also included in later plantings. In 2006, Barron-Wahl harvested their first vintage, and was awarded a Bronze Medal at the Oregon State Fair Wine Competition.
My Tasting Notes:
This Pinot Noir is a very fruit forward and lush wine on the nose. It gives you the feeling of being a big Pinot Noir. This wine is light in feeling.. Slightly dry with all those jammy fruits.. The finish is very nice and soft!
