The 2011 Adriane exhibits a deep red color with focused aromatics of red cherry, forest floor, citrus, sandalwood, cinnamon and barrel spice. Streamlined with a very linear focus, the wine moves directly to the mid and back of the palette on a silky texture of fine grained tannin and a firm acidity that carries flavors of bright red cherry and savory tones along with créme brulee and barrel toast. Displaying good density and extract with a long persistent finish. We expect this wine to continue to flesh out and develop for the next six to eight years.
My Tasting Notes:
There is a mint like smell on the nose.. I think that is pretty cool. A little toasty and bacon smell on the nose. A dark plum on the tongue. With a spicy tannins with a pepper nose and palate. This wine gives an impression of a full mouth feel.. As I let this wine sit out, about half way through the bottle, I had a nirvana moment and realized how freakin awesome this Pinot Noir was.
