The second cool growing season in a row again allowed the expression of classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics and intense color. Black cherry, red current and a hint of bell pepper blends well withmodest oak, toast and vanilla flavors.Rich and layeredwith a bit of exotic spice (star anise perhaps?), it has a good tannic structure balanced with acids and the natural fruit flavors. Merlot and Petit Verdot round out this complex and layered wine.
My Tasting Notes:
Deep dark cherries, a little vanilla. A spicy pepperiness. Very luscious on the nose. The flavors quickly passes the tip of the tongue and mid palate all the fruit flavors come bursting out. Very smooth on the finish. Very easy drink. This is a great playful Cabernet.
