One of the stats is about Bloggers like me. There are over 200 million Blogs out there, 34% of Bloggers give their personal opinions about Products and Brands. If you are a Business, are you listening to what we are saying? Do you comment on blogs, Facebook, Twitter when your company is mentioned?
I do video reviews of wine and always tag the winery in the post. Which I post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+. I would say only 50% of the wineries ever acknowledge my post. Me personally, that is well over 2000 people I am telling. I know that may not sound like much, but it only takes 1 to start the spiral. Your Acknowledgement is confirmation that you do indeed exist and care about what is being said about your product or brand. Word of mouth is paramount these days. Most people will go off a recommendation of a friend before they trust an ad. Especially when you spent the money on shipping wine to bloggers like me.. You are losing money on your investment by not using the advertisement of your product.
I know I preach the Social Media aspect and have since about 2010 which was even late since Facebook started in 2008. I am a believer of online marketing and sharing. I pick on wineries because Wine is my passion and there are still very FEW that are getting it right even today. Bloggers are advertisement for you product and brand.. why you as a winery wouldn't take advantage of that is beyond me, especially when it usually comes unprovoked. Cheers!
