Recently I decided I was going to try this Paper.li that I keep seeing all over the place. It is suppose to be a newspaper that you can publish as often as you want. You curate content and it will pull it and post it and deliver to someone's inbox that subscribed to it. Well, because I didn't have time to figure it out, I deleted my account. The same with Newsle, but this time it wasn't because I couldn't figure it out, it is because I changed my website platform and it thinks the posts I post are not from me.. I have submitted 2 support tickets and it has been over a week and no response, so, I am done for now with them.. Too bad, cause I liked that one.
Are you having these same issues? Here is why I ask this question. I see so many LinkedIn profiles WITHOUT photos of the people. Why do it if you aren't going to complete the process? Just delete your profile and move on.. Obviously you don't have time or know how to update it and it is really bothersome to get a request to LinkIn with a No Faced person.
Twitter is the same way.. You get a BIG Egg as your profile picture if you don't complete the process. Facebook is a profile of an empty person.
My point to all this is do the Social Media venues you know you can and don't worry about the rest. Where are your customers at? If you have a ton of fans on Facebook and you feel you get a better response there, then make Facebook your focus. Didn't you ever get the lecture from your parents about "If you are gonna do something, you need to give it 110% effort?"
By not completing things like profiles you are telling people you just threw this up there to get started and really don't care to interact or contribute.. Someone told you to do it and you did, that was all you could do.
My challenge to you, especially if you and I are LinkedIn and you have no profile picture, to get that up and go through the steps of completing your profile. I Double Dog Dare You!
Good Luck on your Social Medi
