About WineyWomen
I think the name says it all. WineyWomen came from when I was a wine consultant. What a better way to describe a women who likes to drink wine. I even have a license plate with the name on it. I love watching in my rear view mirror at the people laughing as they try to sound out the name.
My Passion For Wine
I fell in love with Wine in 2003 when I attended my first wine festival. I live in Colorado, and was introduced to Colorado Wines with my first Wine Festival in Lafayette. I wanted to know all there was to know about the wines and the winemakers. I have been working on this mission of knowing all the vineyards and wineries and to get to know the winemaker/owners. Festivals are something I love attending because that is my best chance to meet the winemakers, taste their wines in a very friendly atmosphere.
The Perfect Pairing
I paired the two things I love doing together. I Love Wine and I Love Talking about it. I am always anxious to taste wine because I am looking for that one taste that is just gonna knock my socks off!
I have two blogs that I started. One is Swirl TV. Swirl TV is my live reviews of wines. My WineyWomen Blog, talks about all other things wine related. I talk about Winery Reviews, Festival Reviews, Places I visited.
Because I also come from a Customer Service background, I am usually doing more than just tasting wine, rather I am also seeing what the customer experience is when someone visits with a winery or festival. Because if you want to get that person back, their experience has to be one that draws them back!
