My Notes:
Very full bodied Fruit smell. Little on the Spicy side, but not so much that is takes away from the wine. This wine would go great with a steak or a burger. Love the full bodied smell. This is one of my favorite Garfield wines.
Winemakers Notes:
This wine is a worthy follow up to our Gold Medal winning 2006. Exhibiting an intense earthy, spiciness with rich concentrated fruit--a very traditional Rhône style Syrah. We use “whole berry” fermentation, which increases the varietal fruit characteristics.
