Ruby Trust Cellars located in Castle Rock, CO is one of the newest wineries we have.  Braden Dodds is the winemaker and Ray and Jean Bruening are the founders.  These two guys make incredible wines.  I have tasted the 2009 Gunslinger and Smuggler from the Drink Local Wine Conference where I first met them... Both are great wines.. The Gunslinger is my favorite. 

I went to visit Ray and Braden at their winery to see the operation. They are a small winery making about 300- 400 cases of wine.  They will never be at wine festivals due to their limited supply. 

While at the winery, I got to barrel taste the 2010 Gunslinger and Smuggler. Wow!  The Gunslinger is a smooth very easy to drink wine.  The Smuggler has huge tannins. This wine will need to sit and or breathe but out of the barrel it taste good.
